To assist with the provision of a high level pharmacy service to the wards and departments of Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, from which current and future specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
Clinical pharmacists monitor prescriptions and provide advice & medicines information to medical and nursing colleagues, and to patients and their carers. The haematology pharmacist clinically screens chemotherapy prescriptions for patients with haematological malignancies and orders and dispenses cytotoxic drugs for these patients. Other aspects of the service include antibiotic stewardship and surveillance, outpatient dispensing to staff and to patients of the Mental Health Service, formulary management, drug protocol development, and audit & quality improvement.

There is currently a permanent, full- time vacancy available in Connolly Hospital for a Senior Dietitian in Oncology & Haematology. The purpose of this new post is to work with the MDT to develop, deliver and evaluate evidence based nutritional care and pathways to patients attending the oncology and haematology services to include prehab, inpatient and post op care, home enteral nutrition and follow on nutritional care.

The Staff Officer Grade V supports and assists with the management and administration of the day-to-day operations of the functions and duties of within the office of the REO. The Staff Officer Grade V will be required to carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas:
- Supervision and monitoring of the team, reviewing all work to ensure quality and accuracy. Attendance at internal meetings when required, take minutes at meetings and prepare for timely circulation following meeting
- Liaising with multiple stakeholders, diary and email management including communications, information management collation and analysis of data. Ensure that deadlines are met and service levels maintained.
- Ensure that stakeholders are kept informed and that their views are communicated to middle management.
- Coordinating the workup, care and follow up of Oncology patients in Connolly Hospital, the RCSI Hospital’s Group and broader cancer network.
- Close liaison with inpatient wards, the medical oncology unit, the outpatients department, radiation oncology and palliative care units.
- Provision of a holistic nursing service for patients referred to the service with a cancer diagnosis
- Close liaison with all clinicians involved in the diagnosis, management and ongoing care of patients attending with a cancer diagnosis.
- The role demands that the nurse be an advocate for the patient and a resource for colleagues.
- The post holder will have an important educational role within the multi-disciplinary team and will play a role in the development of quality initiatives.
- The post holder has a pivotal role in meeting the psychological, emotional and informational needs of patients and their families/significant other who are being investigated for or have a diagnosis of cancer.

The position of Senior Executive Officer – Grade VIII encompasses both managerial and administrative responsibilities including supporting the Regional Executive Officer. This role requires a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
This role acts as the first point of contact for the REO. Duties include Proactively reviewing and tracking a large volume of correspondence, responding directly, disseminating or advising the REO.
Management of all Clerical Administration staff in the office of the REO.
Working closely with the wider Regional Executive Team to provide communication channels of executive decisions and operational and strategic development including key performance indicators and project management. Review, research, summarise and relay information to the REO. Prepare correspondence, reports, memos and presentations. Maintain a co-ordinated and up to date calendar, determining urgency and nature of requests.

The post holder will be assigned to manage the operational activity in the hospital during out of hour’s periods. Responsibilities will include; a bed management responsibility, management of complex clinical/non clinical, operational situations and provision of clinical support, expertise and advice for all grades of staff. The ADON Clinical Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of safe, efficient patient care within the hospital on a 24-hour basis 7 days per week. Clinical Site Manager will work in close collaboration with the Clinical Director , Director of Nursing, Director of Operations and the Hospital Manager/On Call Hospital Manager.
The role will involve close cooperation and communication with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, members of the multi-disciplinary team, patient flow team and community services.

This post is based in the Surgical Division, and the responsibilities include accountability for delivery of direct patient care inclusive of taking an allocation of patients.
The Surgical Division includes general Acute surgical ward, Acute Medical Assessment Unit, and Acute Surgical Short Stay Unit.
The primary role of the CNM 1 will be one of clinical and professional leadership and development in the nursing team, including the development of advanced clinical skills by means of in-service training, orientation of new staff and arranging for clinical experience and supervision of student nurses where this is appropriate.
The post holder will have specific responsibility for the education; professional development and mentoring of staff to ensure staff meet the required competency to deliver on the agreed standards for patients accessing care on Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
The CNM1 role is fundamental to assist the CNM2 in the management of the clinical area and provide strong leadership within the multidisciplinary team

Cavan General Hospital is an acute general hospital incorporating an Obstetric Consultant Led Unit and a Midwifery Led Unit. The hospital provides maternity and gynaecological services primarily to the catchment areas of counties Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Longford and North Meath.
The Obstetric department provides:
- Antenatal bookings and return antenatal clinics.
- Outreach bookings and return antenatal clinics.
- Maternity day ward facility.
- Antenatal and Postnatal Parent craft Education.
- Breastfeeding support and advice.
- Antenatal in-patient care.
- Low and High risk intra-partum care including 24 hour epidural service.
- Postnatal care for mothers and babies.
- Special care baby unit.
- Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and Gynaecological Services.
- Obstetric ultrasound scanning.
The Midwifery Led Unit provides:
Antenatal. Intrapartum and Postnatal care to low risk women. Care is delivered by a team of midwives whose practice is guided by regional evidence based guidelines. If there is any deviation from the normal at any stage of pregnancy, delivery, or post-natal period the mother or neonate is transferred to consultant led care. The facility has two birthing and overnight rooms set in a homely environment.
Special Care Baby Unit provides:
Neonatal care to babies born electively after 30 weeks gestation and at earlier gestations as unplanned deliveries. Neonates requiring intensive care are ventilated, stabilised and transferred to one of the Dublin Neonatal Units primarily Rotunda Hospital and return to Cavan for high dependency and special care until discharge. The capacity of the unit is 5 cots and 1 isolation room with one overnight stay room for mothers.

The 1.0WTE Geriatrician post will support the other half of the 0.5 CLT liaison with specific outreach to residential care units, nursing home inpatient pathway and clinical governance for Frailty front door / ambulatory support for nursing home residents in the Emergency Department. It will also provide dedicated support to 10 beds within the Sycamore Older Persons Care Unit which provides inpatient care for patients admitted from residential care. The post-holder will rotate across inpatient care, rehabilitation and outreach services to allow for enhanced integration of services within the department in a schedule to be agreed with colleagues.
