The post of CNM 2 (NCSS) has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are: quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership.
As the 4th busiest Bowel Screen Center, Connolly Hospital, the appointed CNM2 NCSS will assist the RANP in the delivery of the screening colonoscopy programme to meet its required KPIs and waiting list targets and to help meet the increasing demands of our successful Bowel Screen program. The CNM2 NCSS will support our RANP Ann Joyce by delivering NCSS pre-assessments/MDMs/data entry and validation.

Each candidate must, at the latest date for receipt of completed applications for the post:
Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc
Are registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) or entitled to be so registered.
And
Have at least 5 years post registration experience (or an aggregrate of 5 years fulltime post registration experience) of which 2 years must be in the speciality or related area.
And
Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role
And
Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
And
Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
Annual registration
On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
And
Confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). Page 2 of 2
