The successful candidate will lead, drive and implement effective Digital Health solutions and service transformation at the front line of care and enabling operations such as Finance, HR and eRostering on behalf of the Dublin North East Region.  

 

They will work with nationally lead projects such as Community Connect, Shared Care Record, National EHR and others as required. Projects can span the whole solution lifecycle from inception through approval, implementation and ongoing optimisation.  

 

The Senior Project Manager will work on multiple projects aimed at improving effectiveness, safety and efficiency of patient care. These projects typically involve integrating technology within clinical practice and operational procedures.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must, at the latest date of application, clearly demonstrate, all of the criteria listed below as relevant to the role:  

 

  • 5 years or more experience at senior level delivering ICT services or technology-enabled transformation in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.  

 

AND 

 

  • Have not less than three years satisfactory experience at a grade not lower than that of a Grade VII or equivalent.  

AND 

 

  • 3 years successful project management experience.  

 

             AND 

     

  • The successful candidate should hold a project management certification PMP (PMI), PRINCE2 Practitioner (Alexos) or an industry recognised equivalent. If candidates do not hold a certification but otherwise demonstrate project management competence, they must commit to achieving a certification within 18 months of commencing post. (Commitment to undertake)  

 

AND 

 

  • A level 8 qualification in Information technology or equivalent would be desirable. 

  

AND 

 

  • The requisite knowledge, ability and experience (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. 

 

Health 

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.  

 

Character 

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
