The CNM 2 is a leadership role that is vital in supporting the management of the Our lady of Lourdes Hospital site.

The CNM 2 post has a pivotal role in service planning and development, co-ordinating and managing activity and resources within the clinical area.

The post holder will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with the Acute Surgery and Elective Surgery Models of Care, to achieve best patient outcome and value for money in service delivery. The main responsibilities are: quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership

The CNM 2’s responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the quality of nursing care,
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and adherence to legislative requirements,
• The development and implementation of policy and procedures,
• The monitoring of patient and service activity and the delivery of agreed levels of service in line with the local hospitals service plan, HSE Dublin and North East.

The CNM2 plays a key role in providing clinical and professional leadership and supporting and promoting Nursing values. The CNM2 will support our team to ensure the achievement and operationalisation of service initiatives and the strategic goals of nursing and the organisation.

The HSE has created six new health regions. Each region is responsible for providing both hospital and community care for the people in that area. Bringing community health services and hospitals together means we can take a more patient-centred approach to healthcare.

HSE Dublin and North East provides health and social care to North Dublin, Louth, Meath,

Monaghan and most areas of Cavan.

Candidates Must:

On the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office:

• Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses kept by An Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board Ireland), or be entitled to be so registered.
• Have at least 5 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in the speciality of Theatre.

And

• Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role

And

• Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development

Applicants who do not meet in full the eligibility criteria set out above on the closing date will be deemed ineligible and their application will not be processed for this competition.
