Overview

To carry out plumbing / mechanical duties including maintenance, legionella control measures, maintain water systems to manage risk of water bourne infections and minor projects at Cavan Hospital & Monaghan Hospital and any other HSE Facilities, or properties under the Dept. remit, as required.

Essential Criteria

 

Candidates must on the closing date:

  1. Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc

(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:

(i) Possess a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) (NFQ) Level 6 (or higher) Advanced Certificate Craft - Plumbing (or equivalent qualification).

                                                            Or

(ii) Possess the National Craft Certificate issued by FETAC.  (Plumbing)

                                                            Or

(iii) Possess the Senior Trade Certificate issued by Department of Education.  (Plumbing)

                                                            Or

(iv) Possess a Level 3 Technical/Trade qualification or equivalent issued by City & Guilds, London. (Plumber)

                                                            And

(b) Candidates must possess the requisite technical knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability for the proper discharge of the office.

2. Health

Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
