Responsible for the general cleaning of the service area as identified by the Hygiene Manager and ensure the agreed standard of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas and appropriately documented in line with national and locally devised policies and regulations. 

Essential Criteria

Qualifications and/or experience Candidates must have at the latest date for receipt of applications for the post: 

 

Relevant experience in a housekeeping environment in the healthcare/hospitality sector 

AND 

Have attained such standard of education as would enable him/her to discharge the duties of the post.  

AND

Possess a competent level of spoken and written English to compile HACCP/HIQA documents.  

AND

Candidates must possess the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role. 

 

Health 

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.  

 

Character 

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character. 

 

Note1: Candidates must achieve a pass in Ordinary or Higher level papers. A pass in a foundation level paper is not acceptableCandidates must have achieved these grades on the Leaving Certificate Established programme or the Leaving Certificate Vocational programmeThe Leaving Certification Applied Programme does not fulfil the eligibility criteria.
