Overview

To provide business planning support to the Executive Management Team at Cavan & Monaghan Hospitals and Clinical Directorates in the operational and strategic development of Services at Cavan & Monaghan Hospitals, to include all areas of Cancer Services.

 

To lead and manage business functions to ensure efficient, effective, and high‐quality delivery of patient care. To provide strategic, financial, operational, and administrative leadership, working closely with clinical, nursing, health & social care professionals, and support services.

 

To co-ordinate and lead out on Severe Weather Planning and the Hospital Major Emergency Plan.

 

To coordinate and facilitate the Multidisciplinary Meeting process for oncology patients, ensuring that cases are prepared properly, meetings are scheduled and documented, decisions are communicated, and administrative support is maintained for tumour boards / MDMs to ensure optimal patient care.

 

To coordinate the rapid access lung nodule clinic, ensuring timely triage, scheduling, diagnostic workup, MDT discussion and follow-up for patients referred with suspected lung nodules. The coordinator will act as the central point of contact for referrers, patients, and the multidisciplinary team, supporting efficient patient flow, compliance with NCCP targets, and high standards of care.

Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition have the following experience as relevant to the role

 

  • Proven track record of leading and delivering projects on time that are innovative and drive improvement in a health care setting or related service.

     AND

  • Proven, documented experience of complex data interrogation and statistical analysis in a multi-faceted organisation including high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to deliver analytical outputs to a high standard.

            AND

  • Have a Clinical Understanding and Knowledge of Acute hospital Services.

            AND

  • A demonstrated record of supporting the delivery of change and experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

            AND

  • Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the office.

     AND

  • Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to ongoing Professional Development.

Health

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

 

Character
