Deliver, develop and manage the delivery of a (specified) Family Therapy service in line with service plans and objectives and within established professional standards, guidelines and policy.
Candidates must have at the latest date of application: -
(a) Candidates must,
i.) Possess a post graduate qualification at NFQ Level 9 or higher from a 4-year professional training course in systemic family therapy designed to meet the standards of education and training detailed by the Family Therapy Association of Ireland and the European Association for Psychotherapy
And
ii.) Be currently registered as a Family therapist with FTAI, if applying from another jurisdiction will meet the criteria for registration with FTAI.
And
a.) Candidates must have 1-year post qualification experience of working in a relevant setting.
Or
b.) Be currently working for minimum of 1 year in a Mental Health service.
Or
c.)Be currently employed as a Family Therapist in the Irish Public Health Sector.
Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
Please note that appointment to and continuation in posts that require statutory registration is dependent upon the post holder maintaining annual registration in the relevant division of the register maintained by the Family Therapy Association (FTAI) and the European Association of Psychotherapy.
