Overview

The post-holder will play a pivotal role in rolling out the implementation of new Patient Dependency & Acuity ICT System (TrendCare) and ongoing monitoring & management in Cavan Monaghan Hospital.

 

The post holder will work with the HSE Dublin and North East Health Region Hospitals’ Group and associated sites to progress and deliver on successfully introducing and imbedding Trend Care in Cavan Monaghan Hospital.

Essential Criteria

1.Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc

(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:

 

(i) Are registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord ltranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) or entitled to be so registered.

 

And

(ii) Have at least 5 years post registration experience (or an aggregrate of 5 years fulltime post registration experience) of which 2 years must be in the speciality or related area.

 

And

(iii) Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.

 

And

(iv) Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.

 

And

(b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.

 

2.  Annual registration

(i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann). 

And

(ii) Confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). 

 

3.  Health

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

 

4.  Character

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.

 

Post Speciific Requirement

Desirable criteria

  • Post graduate Diploma in health informatics or another information related discipline.
  • Experience / knowledge of the implementation of clinical information systems, or other common health care clinical applications
  • Project management experience
  • Proven clinical, leadership, managerial and administrative knowledge, skills, and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
  • Strong belief and passion for the digital transformation of healthcare
  • Experience of leading a number of change management programmes of work
  • Experience/knowledge of current and future governance structures required to deliver sustainable change
  • Highly developed analytical and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive management style and the ability to take initiative and responsibility.
  • Well-developed organisational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities in order to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of leading out on change and performance improvements in the health sector
