This role is an integral and functioning part of the running of Primary Care Services.  The Caretaker position is a varied role ie  Maintenance duties, Cleaning duties & General Admin Duties.   Complying with Health & Safety Regulations at all times and any other related duties that may be required within the role.

Essential Criteria

• Be proficient using IT Systems to include Email, Excel and Word
• Car essential - be the holder of a full valid unendorsed Driving License
• Flexibility around working hours to meet service requirements
• Post holder will be required to carry a HSE mobile phone during working hours

Health

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

Character

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.

Note¹: Candidates must achieve a pass in Ordinary or Higher level papers. A pass in a foundation level paper is not acceptable.  Candidates must have achieved these grades on the Leaving Certificate Established programme or the Leaving Certificate Vocational programme.  The Leaving Certification Applied Programme does not fulfil the eligibility criteria.
