Panels will be created for the following clinical area:
A panel will be formed as a result of this campaign for Senior Physiotherapist in, Primary Care inclusive of Chronic Disease Management, Adult Disability Services, Older Person Services, Integrated Care Programme for Older People (ICPOP) (including MTRR, MASS, ICTOP hub) and Acute Hospital Services, to recruit current and future permanent and specified purpose contracts (SPC) of whole/part time to be filled in Cavan Monaghan.

Details of Service
Cavan Monaghan Primary Care Services, have adopted the Community Healthcare Network (CHN), National Operating Model, and have two CHN’s:
1. Cavan Community Healthcare Network
2. Monaghan Community Healthcare Network
Both Community Healthcare Networks consist of Primary Care Teams and Network based staff which manage and deliver local community healthcare services to meet the needs of people in a defined catchment area.
Within Cavan there are eight Primary Care teams and within Monaghan there are five Primary Care Teams and one Children’s Team within each Community Healthcare Network.
The Community Healthcare Network Manager is responsible for service delivery within six disciplines within the Primary Care Teams, to include; Dieticians, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers and Speech and Language Therapists, across the following grades;
therapy assistant, staff grade, senior grade, and clinical specialist grade.
The Therapy Manager is responsible for the Clinical Assurance of the staff clinical practice and clinical service provision, within their respective discipline clinical roles and grades.
The roles will evolve as the structures within the Healthcare Area are further developed and established.
Candidates must have at the latest date of application: -
1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc
(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. Those qualified and awaiting CORU registration may apply. If you are a section 91 candidate, please see note*
AND
(ii) Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification Physiotherapy experience
AND
(iii) Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
AND
(iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapist Register maintained by the Physiotherapist Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
2. Annual Registration
(i) Practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Registration Board at CORU.
AND
(ii) Practitioners confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
3. Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
4. Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
Note*
Individuals who qualified before 30th September 2018 and are registered or have applied for registration under Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act, 2005, must hold a Physiotherapy qualification approved by CORU in order to be eligible to apply. Section 91 candidates are individuals who qualified before 30th September 2018 and have been engaged in the practice of the profession in the Republic of Ireland for a minimum of 2 years fulltime (or an aggregate of 2 years fulltime), between 1st October 2016 and 30th September 2018 are considered to be Section 91 applications under the Health and Social Care Professional act, 2005
