The Principal Social Worker is responsible for the effective delivery of a quality social work service and to provide advice on social work matters and related services throughout Louth Meath Mental Health Services. The Principal Social Worker will work in partnership with colleagues on the Louth Meath Mental Health Management Team in order to identify and be responsive to the needs of service users and their families and continue to further develop mental health services in Louth Meath.

Essential Criteria

 

Candidates must at the latest date of application:

  • Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.
  •      Be registered in the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.

 

And

 

  •       Maintain live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.

 

And

  •       Have 5 years relevant post-qualification experience

 

And

 

  •       Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, professional and managerial ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

 

Health


A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

 

Character

 

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
