The HSCP Regional Practice Development Coordinator will be responsible for the identification, delivery, and evaluation of professional development for HSCP staff within their Health Region. Initially the focus will be on increasing capacity and quality of clinical placements by supporting practice educators’ development.
This will include the identification and delivery of region specific training needs, identifying and maximising the use of local skill sets and resources, and local ownership and management of supervision training with support from the National HSCP Office.
The role will require strong collaborative links between the national and regional HSCP teams, with the post-holder working to represent the Health Region within which they are employed, work collaboratively with HSCP teams in other Health Region areas, and work with the national team on specific projects and representing as required.

Note 1: Candidates must have a recognised HSCP qualification to the professions encompassed in the National HSCP Office – Please refer to Additional Campaign information for a list of the professions

(b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and management ability), for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
Note1: Candidates must achieve a pass in Ordinary or Higher level papers. A pass in a foundation level paper is not acceptable. Candidates must have achieved these grades on the Leaving Certificate Established programme or the Leaving Certificate Vocational programme. The Leaving Certification Applied Programme does not fulfil the eligibility criteria.
