The Children’s Disability Network Manager (CDNM) is the Operational Line Manager for the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT). The Interim Dietitian Manager will work in collaboration with CDNMs in the Health Region and other Discipline Managers in CDNTS, Primary Care and CAMHS to ensure particular elements as set out in this Job Specification and that emerge as service priorities are progressed.
The Interim Dietitian Manager will not have any line management responsibilities for staff members in the CDNTs.
The Interim Dietitian Manager in the CDNTs of the Dublin and North East Region will be responsible for the delivery and development of a high quality, integrated and effective Dietetics service within an interdisciplinary service model.
The Interim Dietitian Manager appointment is for 1 year and will be subject to review against set KPIs and Service Priorities as agreed by the Lead Agency as set out below:

Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc
Candidates for appointment must:
Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Dietitian by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU
And
Have 5 years full time (or an aggregate of 5 years full time) post qualification dietetic experience
And
Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, management, leadership and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
And
Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Dietitians Register maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued
Annual Registration
On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the dietitians Register maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU
And
Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC)
Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
Note1: Candidates must achieve a pass in Ordinary or Higher level papers. A pass in a foundation level paper is not acceptable. Candidates must have achieved these grades on the Leaving Certificate Established programme or the Leaving Certificate Vocational programme. The Leaving Certification Applied Programme does not fulfil the eligibility criteria.
