Overview

Provide recruitment specialist support to the execution of Connolly Hospital’s and the Dublin North and East Region’s Recruitment Strategy in line with best practice.

 

This post is a key post. The person appointed will, in conjunction with the Recruitment Manager, have responsibility and accountability for the efficient day to administration of the Recruitment Function within the Human Resource Department.

 

He/ She will provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative service to the Human Resource Department with particular responsibility for the recruitment of complex posts including new National Service Development posts as well as international recruitment campaigns.

 

He/ She will also, in conjunction with the Recruitment Manager, be responsible for ensuring compliance with Commission for Public Service Appointments guidelines and HSE Recruitment and Selection guidelines, and Section 20 of the National Vetting Bureau Acts 2012 to 2016 with specific responsibility for reviewing and implementing processes to support same.

Essential Criteria

Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:

 

Professional Qualifications, Experience etc.

 

(a) Have satisfactory experience as a Clerical Officer in the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004.

Or

(b) Have obtained a pass (Grade D) in at least five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education Leaving Certificate Examination, including Mathematics and English or Irish1. Candidates should have obtained at least Grade C on higher level papers in three subjects in that examination.

Or

(c) Have completed a relevant examination at a comparable standard in any equivalent examination in another jurisdiction.

Or

(d) Hold a comparable and relevant third level qualification of at least level 6 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland, (QQI).

And

 Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of    suitability, for the proper discharge of the office.

 

 

Post Specific Requirements:

  • At least one years’ experience working in a comparable role in HR recruitment in a healthcare setting in the last 3 years
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a complex and fast paced administration role
  • Expert working knowledge & proficiency of software packages including Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/PowerPoint and other specific recruitment packages
  • A proven track record in a role that involves problem solving and use of initiative would be highly advantageous.

 

Desirable Requirements:

  • Have a relevant HR qualification or demonstrate willingness to progress to a minimum of HR Diploma within the next 3 years
