The successful candidate will be expected to support both the Physiotherapy students and Practice Educators to ensure the successful delivery of the practice education component of the RCSI Physiotherapy degree. The successful candidate will be based primarily in Our Lady of Lourdes (OLOL) Hospital Drogheda and will be required to attend the RCSI University campus for training and professional development purposes related to the post and to occasionally teach the Physiotherapy students in preparation for their placements. The successful candidate will be required to have a flexible work approach to ensure that student placements are delivered as agreed between the Head of the School of Physiotherapy and the Physiotherapy Manager in the placement site. The candidate will organise and coordinate RCSI placements, build relationships with placement stakeholders and also will monitor and evaluate placement quality. The successful candidate will require the requisite knowledge to support placements and students across a variety of clinical settings.

There is currently one permanent part-time vacancy (18.5 hours per week) available in the Physiotherapy Department, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. A panel may be formed from this campaign for the filling of this post only.
The Salary scale for the post is as of 1/10/24: €62,038-€63,362-€64,726-€66,077-€67,430-€68,854-€70,853-€71,848-€73,048 Contracted hours which are less than the standard weekly working hours for the grade will be paid pro rata to the full time equivalent.

Candidates for appointment must:
(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
AND
(ii) Have three years full time (or an aggregrate of three years full time) post qualification clinical experience.
AND
(iii) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
AND
(iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
(i) On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
AND
(ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
