Overview

To lead and support the implementation of a Clinical Information System (CIS) within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as the primary focus, while also contributing to the development and execution of other digital health initiatives across the hospital site. This role leverages clinical expertise and informatics knowledge to successfully implement digital health solutions, ensuring these systems enhance patient care, improve healthcare outcomes, and comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

 

The Digital Health Informatics Nurse will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive successful adoption of digital health technologies, provide training, and ensure these systems meet the specific needs of healthcare professionals and patients.

 

The post holder will work for the HSE Dublin and North East Health Region and its associated sites to progress and deliver on successfully introducing and imbedding clinical practice initiatives that aim to enhance nursing & midwifery clinical practice and support the workforce in the delivery of quality patient care.

Essential Criteria

Candidates must have at the latest date of application. 

  • Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses kept by An Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland) or be entitled to be so registered
  • Have at least 5 years post registration experience 2 of which being in a relevant area in relation to critical care
  • Possess a 3rd Level Qualification at Level 8 (Honours degree) or higher
  • Experience of leading out on change and performance improvements in the health sector
